  • Good Afternoon PCS and Avoca Drama Club Fans!

We’re back at it this year, and next week kicks off our Drama Club production of “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown!” Our cast, crew, and directors have been hard at work preparing a special show that we’re sure you will all enjoy! Unfortunately, due to the present state of our world, we are only able to offer in person tickets to the family members of our cast and crew. Luckily! Thanks to technology, you will be able to tune in and watch the production with us LIVE on Saturday, April 24th, 2021 at 2pm!

Your online ticket to this virtual livestream can be purchased at the link below! Also, our limited edition Charlie Brown T-shirts can be purchased through this link, so get them while supplies last! We invite you to relax, grab the family, pop some popcorn, settle in, and enjoy the show!

  • Good morning PCS families,

Spring Break is several weeks away, but I wanted to send out a reminder about the travel restrictions that are still in place. Last week, the governor loosened up the travel restrictions that were in place for states that are NOT contiguous to New York. Now if a person is fully vaccinated (both shots plus two weeks), he/she does not have to quarantine for 10 days upon return to New York.

Since students have not had access to the vaccine, they will still be required to follow the quarantine rules that are in place OR test out of the quarantine when travelling to states other than contiguous ones.

If students travel out of state, they have to do one of the following:

    1. Quarantine for 10 days upon return and monitor for symptoms OR
    2. Test out of the quarantine. In order to do this, students must test in the state where they are located 3 days prior to return to New York State. Upon return to New York, students must quarantine 3 days and then test on the 4th. Both tests must be negative in order to return to school.

Most importantly, these trips are considered voluntary, so any absences from school will be considered unexcused absences. It is extremely important that we are consistent in how we deal with these absences, so please reach out to Mrs. Peck or Mrs. Kephart with any questions about how this will impact students.

Finally, please continue to stress the importance of mask wearing, distancing and washing hands to your children. We are doing very well here and are continuing to stay healthy, but we can’t get complacent with our health and safety protocols.

Thanks for your continued support and stay safe everyone!

    Kory Bay
