Continuing Our Investment in Our District
THIS PROJECT WILL HAVE NO ADDITIONAL TAX IMPACT ON PRATTSBURGH CSD RESIDENTS.
ABSENTEE BALLOTS MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE DISTRICT CLERK NO LATER THAN 5:00 PM, PREVIALING TIME, ON JUNE 9, 2020
On June 9 by absentee ballot, Prattsburgh Central School District residents will have the opportunity to vote on a $7.5 million Capital Improvement Project. As we keep moving forward, this project represents the District’s continued investment in our facilities and the experiences of our students. This project will result in no additional tax impact for Prattsburgh CSD residents.
The District and the Board of Education have developed this Capital Project with the priority of repairing aging infrastructure, promoting instructional programming, increasing health and safety and athletic improvements.
This project will result in no tax additional tax impact on Prattsburgh residents as it is fully funded by leveraging New York State Building Aid, managing debt service payments and using the District’s existing capital reserve funds.
As a District, we understand that this is a difficult time for everyone, and we strive to provide the best experiences for our students no matter what.
We are in an unprecedented time in education right now while dealing with a global pandemic. However, through careful and responsible fiscal planning by our Board of Education, PCS is in a situation where this capital project still makes sense. School WILL continue, and our students and community deserve a safe, up-to-date learning experience that we all can be proud of. Most importantly, doing this project now means that we can keep our budget stable and maximize state aid while also not impacting taxes.

· Drop off loop entrance expansion

· Utility & HVAC upgrades

· Renovations to toilet rooms, offices, locker rooms, gym & kitchen
· Lighting upgrades
· Tennis court improvements
· Batting cage improvements
· New bleachers & fencing at soccer field
· Baseball fence replacement
· Playground replacement
